Our Philosophy:

We believe that drug addiction is a disease that can be arrested through a combination of counseling, education treatment and participation in a 12-step program. Our Center is open five days a week for individual, and group counseling. Crisis intervention and referrals are also available.

 

Population served: 

The Hempstead Chemical Dependency Treatment Center-Elmont Satellite provides services to individuals and families throughout Nassau County who are experiencing difficulties caused by chemical dependency. The Center also provides preventive education on substance abuse.

 

Our Staff:

Counselors are New York State Certified social workers and substance abuse specialists. All counselors are trained in individual and group counseling. Our staff is specially trained to be caring and sensitive to the needs of clients.

 

Outpatient services: 

  • Intake, assessment and evaluation
  • Individual and group counseling
  • Educational seminars about substance abuse problems and treatment
  • Counseling for children and significant others of substance abusers
  • Crisis intervention and referral

Our Fee

Fees are charged according to income. No one will be denied services if they cannot afford to pay for treatment.

 

Funding is provided by the New York State Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services through the Nassau County Department of Drug and Alcohol Addiction.
