An Advocacy Committee comprised of Board members, staff, and community representatives considers social policy issues and educates public officials about community and client needs. Together with community organizations and coalitions it encourages social and governmental systems to become more responsive to the needs of those they are intended to serve. This philosophy is grounded in Family and Children’s Association’s firm belief that the same level of commitment and attention be given to the community environment as to any personal or family problems. We offer information and training to help equip those who wish to advocate for themselves and others.
