Struggling Families

Many of the families we serve are battling difficult situations including poverty, unemployment, lack of education, unstable neighborhoods or homelessness.  Some families are dealing with mental illness or substance abuse issues, while others have difficult teens or lack of a support system when crisis strikes.

A Community of Caring

At Family & Children's, we deliver community-based counseling and support  services to families in order to promote self-sufficiency and foster positive outcomes. Our programs offer respite to families, mediation for conflict, support groups, anger management and referral services to help make the family strong.  Our Counseling Centers are conveniently located in Hempstead, Hicksville, Roosevelt and West Hempstead in order to provide indivdiual and family counseling as well as support groups, spousal abuse group education, chemical dependency treatment and anger management to the residents of Nassau County and Queens.

Strengthening & Protecting

Our Village of Hempstead Initiative provides a continuum of care for residents of all ages to give them a hand-up in reaching their personal best.  Together, we can raise healthy children, strengthen families and ensure that each of us can live a fruitful and well-balanced family life.
